Ancient Wisdom for Modern Kitchen

Cast iron has cooked Indian food for centuries — long before non-stick coatings, long before anyone worried about what was leaching into their sabzi. Somewhere along the way, convenience took over, and that heavy, honest pan sitting in our grandmothers' kitchens got replaced by things that scratch, peel, and wear out in a year. We started Bhumi Indica to bring it back — done right, for the way India actually cooks.

What do we want

Cast iron has cooked Indian food for centuries — long before non-stick coatings, long before anyone worried about what was leaching into their sabzi. Somewhere along the way, convenience took over, and that heavy, honest pan sitting in our grandmothers' kitchens got replaced by things that scratch, peel, and wear out in a year. We started Bhumi Indica to bring it back — done right, for the way India actually cooks.

Real Ingredients Deserve Real Cookware

Bhumi means earth — and that's exactly where cast iron comes from. No synthetic coatings, no chemical shortcuts, just iron, fire, and oil, the same way it's been done for generations. We searched across India's traditional foundries to find craftsmen who still cast and season cookware the old way, then refined it so it works just as well on your induction stove as it did on a chulha.

Why We Don't Use Coatings

No Coating.

No Compromise.

Most "modern" cookware relies on a non-stick layer that wears off in months — flaking into your food long before you notice. Cast iron doesn't need that layer. The seasoning is the coating, and it's made from the same oil you already cook with. Nothing synthetic. Nothing that scratches off. Nothing to replace.
